RIDE
ON AN INNER TUBE
It’s lots of fun! Twenty-five “tubers”
showed up the first year and seventy-five
showed up last year.
Come enjoy a relaxing 1 ½
- 2 hour ride on an inner tube down the warm
Cowichan River. The scenery is spectacular
as you lazily drift along the river.
Invite your family and friends to join us
for this fun activity and share in a potluck
after the ride in the park afterwards (probably
best to eat a little something before going
on the tubes). Come along, even if you don’t
participate in the tubing. Sit and visit with
others at the Duck Pond Park.
Anyone who would like to help drive people
back to the park after the ride, please let
Heather know at the park.
Prices:
Tubes (if 10 or more people show up) are $5.00
which if requested, includes a life jacket.
Things
to bring along:
- water socks or sandals
- lots of sun screen
- a hat
- change of clothes for after the trip
- towel.
Directions:
1- Drive along Hwy #1 until you reach Hwy
18 (just before Duncan), turn right.
2- Take the left fork at the sign and drive
to Cowichan.
3- Turn right onto North Shore Rd (but don’t
go across the bridge).
4- Turn left onto Park Rd and go to the end,
stay on the left until you come to Duck Pond.
